Ingredients
  

For the filling and sauce
  • 12 oz lasagna noodles Traditional or oven-ready noodles
  • 1 lb medium or large shrimp Ensure shrimp are fresh or thawed
  • 1 cup lump crab meat Use fresh or thawed
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Plus extra for topping
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Plus extra for topping
  • 3 Tbsp butter For both sauce and cooking shrimp
  • 1 Tbsp flour For thickening sauce
  • 2 cups milk Warm before adding to sauce
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley Plus more for garnish
  • 1 ea egg Beaten
  • 1 tsp black pepper To taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp paprika

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and lay flat on parchment to prevent sticking.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then remove from heat.
  3. Gently fold crab meat into the shrimp mixture to warm through.
Make the Creamy White Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter, then whisk in flour to form a roux. Gradually add warm milk and cream, whisking until thickened. Stir in grated cheeses and seasonings until melted.
Prepare the Cheese Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped parsley, beaten egg, and season with salt and pepper.
Assembly
  1. Spread a layer of white sauce in a greased baking dish. Layer with noodles, cheese filling, seafood mixture, and more sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
Serving
  1. Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for easy future meals. It can also be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.
